My experience as a customer at northland storage has been one like no other. Both Frank and Peter have been extremely accommodating and supportive with any needs I have encountered whether its removing snow and ice so I’m able to access my unit during the winter months, or even assistance when I lose my key. The units themselves are clean and easy to access and very affordable. Being a female sometimes entering the unit after dark, it is comforting to know they have such great security measures in place so I always feel safe. Would recommend these guys and their facilities to anyone seeking storage solutions.

I cannot overstate how lucky I feel that my builder’s assistant located Northland and helped me reserve space in their newest facility on Howard Rd, just south of Petoskey. The facility, which opened the day I moved the contents into storage, was immaculate, and Peter and Frank were exceedingly accommodating and helpful. I think my belongings are going to enjoy their time in this climate-controlled facility — I only hope they’ll agree to allow me to remove them from storage when construction is completed!

Big shout out to Peter Bowers and everyone at Northland Self Storage! We moved 500 miles and was in a pinch to store a 2000-square foot home due to some scheduling issues with our new house. They didn’t hesitate to help us out and was accommodating with all that we needed. They went above and beyond our expectations and was understanding and caring with the situation that we were in. I cannot say enough great things about them and I would highly recommend them for any storage needs.

Customer service is at the core of every successful business and Peter and Frank and Northland Storage excel at this. We had a client coming in from out of town and we had a tight schedule to move all of her belongings to prepare for her renovation. Peter and Frank were kind enough to meet us at their new beautiful temperature controlled facility the day before her move to make sure she felt completely comfortable with the process and gave her assurance that her family treasurers would be in good hands. They followed up after to make sure she was happy with the experience. I cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for a storage facility that will care about you and your belongings.

My wife and I sold our home in Clarkston in July and then moved to our (much) smaller condo unit in Petoskey. We had to locate a storage unit facility in the area and the best we could do is be placed on a wait list. Peter and Frank not only found us a unit at their Northland Storage but bundled together four. I cannot express enough my gratitude to Peter and Frank for not only their professionalism but also for how much they truly cared about our tight deadlines and uncertain situation. They made our move so much easier at a time of significant stress.

I live 8 months of the year in Northeast Ohio and spend the four summer months in Petoskey. For the last 4 years I have rented a unit at Northland (year round) and have stored an antique boat, antique automobile, motorcycle, tools, as well as other smaller items. The facilities are modern, high quality, dry, well maintained, safe and secure buildings.
To use an old adage, “They are the standard from which other storage facilities should be compared.” The guys are most accommodating and the value they offer can’t be beat.

One of the absolutely BEST storage facilities that I have used to store items. The facilities are exceedingly clean, well lit for a secure storage area, convenient location to get to when you need those items in your storage unit.
